Mali 2 - 1 Burkina Faso

The Eagles were just too fast and too much for The Stallions. The horses get put down and The Eagles fly to the quarter-finals.

Morocco 0 - 2 South Africa

Bafana Bafana was too big a prey for The Atlas Lions. The p*ssy cats return to the mountains and the Bafana Bafana go to the quarter-finals.

i just knew Morocco wasn't winning.
i saw how S.A had Mali (my third as favs to win coming in the tournament) on the brinks, in the group stage. They gave Mali hell in the game, even matched them possession wise.
There was a certain arrogance Moroccans had entering the game

Regragui during the press conference was almost dismissive of SA.

No one cares you made it to semis of WC you ain’t exempt of this ass kicking.

Algerians flooding Equipe Du Maroc IG page clowning them back :mjlol:

As far as Nigeria no gree for anyone, we have a clear path to the final.

Angola will be a bit of worry cause them men be shooting but Cabo Verde or SA should be teams we feel confident in beating. Still, have to take each game seriously.

I knew Morocco wasn’t gonna make things shake. There’s a reason they only have 1 AFCON win and have been to two finals.

They’re a “heavyweight” in African football because they tend to qualify for WCs. Same with Tunisia, but barring 2022, don’t make things shake.

There’s not a team left that we shouldn’t feel like we can confidently dispatch and should it’s that simple :hubie:

All well and good where we’ve got to and the vibes of flying under he radar but with the way things have worked out we are clear favs, anything less is unacceptable and it will be a dark stain on our nation and pride if we don’t see it through :francis:

But we will :blessed: and I think Vic gonna go off leading us to it :ohlawd:

TBH, Naija really needs to win this tourney now, clear path to victory. 3 AFCON titles for us is an underachievement IMO, if you look at our history.

1996 and 1998 we were screwed over by CAF after the whole Abacha and SA political apartheid thing. The 96 AFCON we should have been clear faves after winning Gold at the ATL Olympics.

There’s also the fake PK miss by Kanu in the final against Cameroon in Lagos.

I know that’s not how footie works but we really should have at least 4 AFCONs
