Great second show. They're hitting their marks rn.
nWo like show closer beatdown/fukkery again :lolbron::wow:
With the ring bell still ringing, the faces coming down just to get beat down, the champ thinks he has the upper hand until the new challenger shows up.

That old school feeling

I hope they learn a lot from the praise people have for the Cody/Dustin match because those type of storytelling matches is really something they need in between all the fukkery. And good storytelling can make an otherwise basic match (on a technical level) still captivating.

This is where they are going to need backstage segments to tell a story but they are only banking on them YouTube videos for that which is a mistake imo of course.

Everything involving Jericho and the Inner Circle was dope apart from the sight of that little Latino dude's ribs under his leather jacket. Amazed he can carry the jacket. :lolbron:. Jericho's promo was fire :ehh: but pipe bomb level is pushing it :mjlol:

Tag tourney match was great. :wow:
Private Party is a dumb fukkin' name for a tag team.:usure:

Women's roster looks a bit high school gymnasium... and how the fukk is Tully out there if we're not seeing Tess? Is she signed? Why don't they just book all the women from LU?:stopitslime:

Barely knew who Darby was but he just had me marking out off one run-in spot. Over like fukkin' rover.:blessed:

They're doing a good job, but they've got a lot of work to do yet.:manny:

they are on the right track, like I said they need to create a new star. But the opening tag match was dope, nxt has also had great opening matches. Raw and SD need to understand that it’s ok to put on really good tv matches.
Jerichos promo was great and it was needed. He also needed to shut that crowd up. If “jake Hager” wants to succeed it can’t be on the backs of his old wwe stuff. That just makes wwe creative look good

I like how they are allowed to curse every now and then, it makes the talent sound like adults and not high school girls like wwe.

The little PIP promo while jimmy havoc was coming to the ring was a nice way to give a little background without forcing home to do a generic scripted in ring promo. I think everyone that’s tired of wwe should be fairly happy with what aew has done so far

Probably one of the best promos of his career as far as putting everyone over.

I agree, just think the pipebomb comparisons some were making are a bit extreme... like yeah, he shytted on WWE Creative, put over his crew, shut down the "We The People" shyt masterfully and brought some good jokes... but it's not like he "went rogue" like Punk did with the Pipebomb. He was never in danger of his mic getting shut off and I'm sure everyone in the back patted him on the back for it... the pipebomb comparisons just seemed off for me. :yeshrug:

Nah she signed a two year contract with Impact last year so she won't be available until like July. And I'm not sure if Tully is a bargaining chip because she was raised by Magnum TA moreso than him.

For the LU question, Sexy Star is basically banned/retired, Ivelisse is apparently a backstage problem, Black Lotus is trying to be an actress like Catrina, and Mariposa idk.

this was a slightly better show than last week, I think its too early to tell but they are starting to find their rhythm. I think whoever they have beat jericho has to to be their top babyface thats the face of the company

The final brawl was ok but next week they need to have the show end a different way. They need to save them brawls for special occasions.

Na, just a hunch. I wish though. I mean, he did join the Mexican wrestling league then went back to NJPW so I wouldn't be surprised.

He didn't "join" CMLL, CMLL is partners with NJPW and he went on an excursion and otherwise did tours there as part of that relationship. For Naito to be in AEW, he'd either need to leave NJPW (very unlikely) or NJPW/AEW would need to form a working relationship (probably likely eventually but not for a while).

That would be dope af. Osaka and Tanahashi wrecking shyt, Los Villano Engobernables invasion...
:whoo:
Only problem with that is...doesn't Mark Cuban have stake in NJPW? His mentality seems more aligned with Trump and Vince over Tony Khan and Andrew Yang.

I think we need to give up with that though.

They already said so many times in so many ways they taking the “either you get it or you don’t get it” approach.

They not going to spoonfeed shyt, they catering to their already built in fanbase.

The people that mention or already know about their YouTube shyt is already watching it.

Social media is the biggest it’s ever been and constantly growing. There’s no longer an excuse or such thing is “well they won’t know about this or won’t be able to find that” when it’s that accessible
