I've seen stills, but have been procrastinating on watching any of his newer matches. Is he better with more freedom?

I wasnt a fan of him at all but he made a good showing of himself in the g1. He wasnt as good at the final stretch but knowing what we know now about his staph, he showed out. Promo work as well in the post match joints Japan does, he took red shoe's son under his wing and had a dope little storyline going.
