shyt, at least at State Draymond could shoot. This team been ass all year from 3. All auburn had to do was move they feet and contest to force the state guards to shoot tough layups.
Kind of sounding like a state hater here sir :francis: . Even with all that this could have (fukk that should have) been a win for State. Most of yall had us going out early.

Didler and Kohler been MSU's best players
Yea...and that's a big reason why we lost (not taking anything away from Auburn).

I like Kohler's effort, but when he's the leading scorer it usually means the team was in trouble

Holloman picked the worst possible time to be ass. He'd been playing towards the top of his ceiling the last 2 months (still makes bonehead plays tho).

Akins always been hot & cold. Love him as a 4 year player but he lacks confidence.

Jase struggled.

Fears is still developing on offense...he needs a floater and a consistent jumper.

Izzo opting to let guys play through struggles works vs. the Ole Misses and Illinois of the world but Auburn is a legit title team...he needed to reign the team in before things got to double digit trouble.

Holloman Akins and Richardson :scust:
This is all on Atkins, never quite put it together this year. I was hoping he would string a few together in the tourny. Upset we let that Drake/Drew Gooden blend face dude get off. Oh well guess I'll be pulling for Auburn.

Maybe the number 1 shouldn’t have gotten their doors blown off in the Rose Bowl :brutus:
They shouldn’t have had to play a team they already beat that ALSO just lost at home to their UNRANKED rival the last week of the season :mjtf:

Akins always has had some confidence issues. When his shot isn't falling he gets too in his head. He tested the combine waters and they told him to work on creating his own shot and his handles, then Jase came in and had about everything Akins was lacking, but 4 years younger...I think that fukked with his head some too.

Akins grew up wanting to play for MSU and he achieved that, so he'll always be a G for that. He played through some tough years and stuck with it.

Agreed, where he's at now is where he should’ve been at least 1-2 years ago. He can get to the rack now/is more complete but like you say when the shot isnt falling his game falters when he should be adapting. I was expecting Holloman to put a bad one up since he's been good for so long, just didn't know when. Today Atkins needed to be that guy to get us a solid 25

Some things Holloman does that drive me nuts

- drives the ball then pulls up for a missed J instead of continuing his clear path to the hoop
- throws half court lobs that prime dwight howard might not convert into points
- attempts underhanded layups with a big in the paint...like breh you HAVE to use both hands, throw a fake and then let the ball go, that underhanded shyt isn't going to work

Also, our team NEVER uses any shot fakes it seems. So many times someone would be in the lane with a defender on his him but instead of a simple pump fake which would likely get an And-1 we'd go up and just get blocked.

With Akins graduating and Jase 99% gone (Fidler too), I'm not buying ANY preseason hype this team gets b/c who tf is going to do the scoring :dahell: We'll need a transfer wing or two.

Starting line up of Fears, Holloman, Carr, Kohler & Zapala will struggle to average 60 ppg

that had to be msu worst shooting performances of the year. Good luck to Jase though I highly doubt he come back for another year
Probably was the worst.

I think Jase has to enter the draft. He's 6'3, not some developing 6'9 wing. I honestly don't see what he has to gain in his game by returning. He's projected to be a top 15 pick...would returning another year and averaging, say, 6 more ppg and 2 more apg change his status that much? Is there that big of a difference in pay from #15 pick to say #9 pick?

Granted he probably makes $3M in NIL and could make more next year, and his dad is probably worth $100M, so he's not some dude starving for the money, but still
