You do know that the people that vote in the grammy's are the musicians and producers right? It's the only award show not owned by corporations, the only award show that musicians have influence in, and specially it's the only one where 3 of the highest 5 executives are black.

Now the big problem is that these idiots like Budden just sit around and complain and don't vote. Whereas all the classical music, country music, gospel people, old school rock producers, this and that, vote. So when it comes to hiphop, if they even vote, the voters probably just vote on whatever they've heard before same usually goes for Rock. I don't know how they do, but I know that I probably wouldn't vote correctly in Metal, Contemporary Jazz and shyt. So for all we know, all these old women, who think rap is just some misogynist bullshyt, might vote for a woman just because she's a woman. Without knowing anything about her or rap.
If there was anything they could do, it would be that people could only vote for one genre. Then you'd get better votes in every genre.

Not hearing much of anything about rap this year which is weird. Can't tell if it's people just annoyed thinking that Travis winning is inevitable or something else.

I think Travis wins rap AOTY but his support is largely just industry shyt instead of genuine fans of an album/artist voting for it.
I think Kendrick wins best rap performance.
I kinda fear/wonder if they shoehorned SZA into that melodic rap category because they know Olivia Rodrigo and/or Taylor are going to win most of the big awards over her.
I think Doja wins best rap song.
I'd be stunned if Drake wins anything.
Hoping against hope for Nas and Killer Mike wins.
I think SZA sweeps R&B but loses in the general field. I can't see her winning in the rap category over Durk and Cole.
