The starting guards have to run some plays eventually, can’t do iso ball against a good team.
a lot of this is on the bigs and wings tbh. they're failing to do basic shyt on top of being a step slow everywhere against a long, responsible team.

even the commentators are noticing how jjj simply does not flash high when germany meets guards at the perimeter. sealing, rotating, holding a high post for a bit, etc - its not happening. brunson basically did it himself on that last bucket for bridges

they're making themselves really easy to guard because they expect zones to simply fall apart after one pass

There have been too many instances of them not passing it to the open guy through these 5 games. To be fair, both are shoot first guards but ball movement has just been much better with Hali and AR

US already reeling, Hali & Hart as subs at that point in the game probably gonna make shyt worse
