he only had that 1 song w that curly head cac if I'm not mistakenLike him or hate him, Lil Nas X had a successful past year. He should’ve been given a chance to eat off of a nomination at least.
I could definitely see Doja pulling up...especially with rumors that her next album bout to be on some real hip hop shytI can see nominating Doja for ratings but I doubt she attends.
Right. And it's about time that BET and other award shows start separating R&B and Pop. To me there's enough Black/Black Adjacent pop artists for them to be in their own category. That's the Dojas, Lil Nas Xs, Lizzo, The Weeknd's, etc.Like him or hate him, Lil Nas X had a successful past year. He should’ve been given a chance to eat off of a nomination at least.

He was quiet for a minute
That's not a bad idea. I think award shows in general aren't sweating the younger gen YET because millenials and some of gen X are their main base. Also, they most likely have older folks running it so they're mindset is probably in the mid-to-late 2000s when they didn't have to do much work; BET was the primary source for Black entertainment so every base would tune in for the most part.i'm surprised they didn't try to include a "best independent youtube/social media content creator" to try to stay relevant to the younger generation
it'll be like Primm, RDCworld..., add some those random reaction videos, ASMR, and fashion/makeup, etc...imagine if all those youtubers plugged the BET awards to go vote for them, the show would actually remain semi-relevant even though they are still out of tune with most of those snubbed nominations
Since when are Lil Baby and Durk a group?
