The Thrashers night was a big success..so of course folks down here are talking about trying to get another NHL team. I doubt it will happen after we lost two teams, but the Atlanta Spirit Group who owned the Thrashers literally did all they could to sell the team & move them out of town.
I think Canada needs more teams tbh. I’d like to see a couple more Canadian teams before they try Atlanta again.

For the Coyotes to be ass, a lot of good players have came out of Arizona. Brady Tkachuk, Tage Thompson & Matthews are all Arizona kids. Imagine if they all went to play for the hometown squad 1 day 
That’s another reason I’m still pissed about the Trashers leaving town..we don’t have any Georgia dudes in the league. It’s only like 8 high schools in the state with an ice hockey team..if we still had a NHL franchise they could have been working with local school districts to get more teams in the state. Georgia has put out a plethora of all star MLB, NBA & NFL players. shyt even one of the best & the most popular NASCAR driver is from GA. You can’t tell me we wouldn’t have any elite dudes playing hockey in the state if we still had the Thrashers here

This tournament is such a big deal here because of TSN but I don't think any of the other countries really give a shyt about it. Very embarrassing loss. Europeans care about the Spengler Cup which is a tournament of different European teams plus a Team Canada composed of the best Canadian players in European leagues but no one in Canada gives a shyt about that it is relegated to TSN2.

Nah I haven’t watched any of the games yet. I just saw highlights & listened to the Locked On NHL Prospects podcast. I’m following it to see how that Conner Bedard kid does.
I wanna see how the US juniors are as well. With Auston Matthews & Tage Thompson being two of the best players in the league & them being American, I wanna see if we have another superstar in the making.
When/if the US plays a Canada I’ll watch it live though.
