We've had the Danny ferry incident, shytty ownership, the giannis draft blunder, mediocre players locked into big deals. Now hiring the coaches son, the owners son, and a disgruntled John Collins on an albatross contract who we can't seem to move. This organization always got some BS going on.
We always blame Trae for getting rid of 2 coaches. 2 coaches we can all agree are subpar coaches yet we act like Trae got rid of Gregg popovich and Jerry sloan.
Coaches that many of the players on the roster didn't like which has been documented so for it to be pinned on him is wild to me.
Then the offcourt issues like missing the game? Ja got goons pointing guns at opposing teams and got IG live ordeal. Luka is about to run off the 3rd all star because he is hard to play with but Trae is a malcontent?
The way this city is turning on him is brutal when this team's success has been hindered by the front office and subpar coaching throughout his tenure here. This kid has embraced Atlanta since day 1 and is putting up HOF numbers
Sure he has his faults like effort on defense but he has been a model teammate since quin has been here and I have faith quin will make it work.
He is already emphasizing spacing which Trae has sorely missed all season. This roster will look different next year and it'll fit much better when Collins is gone. Look at the impact Bey and JJ have had at the 4.
I'm rambling now but y'all out here trying to throw the baby out with the bathwater. Relax, tonight is an audition for the rest of the roster and who quin sees as fits for next year
I gave up tryna defend Trae awhile ago. It’s crazy how the narrative has shifted almost to the point of revisionist history.Team success is the only thing that'll change the narrative. This TEAM did not fit and was poorly coached this season. Even bron wouldn't win here with no shooters.
Trae could average 40pts, 2turnovers, and go to church every Sunday and y'all would still blame him for us being .500.
We had one coach who was hated by the entire team then another coach who we all complained about this whole season that didn’t want the job in the first place, got exposed due to his ancient 1990’s gameplans, argued with his own coaching staff, then checked out and tried to quit midseason before being let go but somehow that all falls solely on Trae.
I’m not gonna pretend like criticisms of Trae aren’t legitimate but come the fukk on slim… that article is a whole lotta nothing because it was reported that Schlenk “explored” trades involving Trae last season but no media outlets had shyt to say about it. It’s an obvious attempt to stir up controversy before the play-in tournament. Now you got these talking heads making it seem like he ain’t worth shyt and the organization can’t wait to offload him.
