He speaks in platitudes, but that's been his MO his entire campaign, and it seems to be working for him. I thought he had a polished performance tonight and landed some nice blows on the Klob, who probably cost him NH. It reminded me of me when I used to argue matter of factly with my ex-girlfriend while she argued like she was ready to rip my head off. I was mostly right, but that cold delivery only made her more pissed.
I think it's been working for him only because so any people are undecided and the field is so large. His support dwindles with every passing day. He fell off a lot since Iowa, right?
The more people learn about him, and the more they keep hearing non-answers, the less they'll care about him.
People are tired of platitudes. Working people are tired of being handed word salad. I'm running this into the ground, but it's just as much of an anti-corruption vs corruption era as it is a left vs right era. People aren't gonna like finding out that Pete has 40 billionaires funding his campaign. He's obviously going to service their interests. People are smartening up. All these candidates are bought and paid for except Bernie and Liz.
I know you're just talking about this debate and so maybe's it's not fair that I'm extending my criticism into the future, but Pete just seemed to me tonight to e delivering the same ole vanilla and tired "let's all come together because we're stronger together than we are divided you guys" shtick.
