Couple things this debate showed me.

Biden is comfortable with bulldozing his way through issues, even if he has to lie. The social security questions and the bankruptcy bill questions showed that.
I didn't think anyone could do it like Trump does and get away with it, but he managed to. It's a slippery slope though.

Sanders has a serious blindspot when it comes to pivoting and speaking on issues that may be on the outside of his progressive ideologies. The Coronavirus section exposed that. Constantly trying to tie the crisis to M4A didnt play well at all against Biden's attitude of going to war against the crisis. His responses on Cuba and China shows he was willing to die on hills that shouldn't matter, if your ultimate prize is the Democratic nominee and ultimately the Presidency.

what's hard about keeping them?

he's choosing a woman to run with. if he wins the election, he gets to pick RBG's replacement

If the time comes and public support is behind a more popular SC justice replacement than a black woman, he's going to be forced to pick one anyway.

This could lead to all kinds of affirmative action type arguments with even people in his base being mad. I'm not against it, I just see no point in promising shyt like that at this point. Because he CANNOT go back on that promise.

As for a woman VP, if it makes sense do it. But I really hope he's looked at the pros and cons of the pick. His VP pick is going to be one of the most important in recent history. I'd go with Warren if I was him. But again, why tip your hand and make the promise during the debate? Seems like a weird pander moment.

Yeah, he's not a nimble debator. His overall points regarding Corona were actually good but he talks about them in a more philosophical way than practical and it comes off like he isn't sending the urgency in the matter.

Bernie doesnt want it anymore. Its over. Bernie didn't call him out on his lies.
Black people broke his spirit. Also, young people not turning out. He knows that there’s no point. Bernie honestly looks like he’s just doing this shyt out of respect to the people who donated to him but that he’s completely over it. He definitely retires at the end of this senate term. He was the right man in the wrong time. Ultimately, he lost to Barack Obama in a primary twice.

They will this time. It's going to be the most important pick of our lifetime. Hell did you forget all of the uproar around Kavanaugh? It's a minor issue regardless, I just didn't understand the need to make that statement and box yourself in.

Some of it is his fault. He really should have attacked Biden the last year, instead of the p*ssyfooting. The closest he got was Iowa and social security.

Yeah, he is obsessed with running issue-based campaigns because that’s how he won in Vermont. That’s small-state politics. He never had the mean streak needed to win. He also didn’t have the media relationships. I don’t see anyway that social security stuff does any damage in the south though.

Black voters always vote for who they know/feel a personal connection to and then who they’re told to vote for in that order. And realistically it’s not a barometer for success the way people claim it is.
