Y’all really feel confident in Biden? fukk how you feel about Bernie because this primary is basically over. This debate highlighted Biden weak record that some of want to overlook. Biden is a extremely weak candidate. It might not matter because of a Trump response to corona virus and the economic downturn. Bernie might not be a great candidate but neither is Biden.

I have no confidence in him against Trump. If Trump loses it won't be because of Biden. It will be his own doing based on how he handled this pandemic and the economy

Biden did well in this debate, but two things:

1) he needs to fix his immigration stance, Trump is going to win on this alone if Biden appears to basically give amnesty for everyone except criminals. he needs to fix his sanctuary city policy as well.

2) he boxed himself in by committing to pick a female VP. He should of left the window open and said he would pick the most qualified person, and if that happens to be a woman, so be it.
I think Biden has proven he'll "adjust" accordingly.

he doesn't care about winning likes and retweets like Bernie does.

Was a good debate, I am glad Bernie put pressure on Biden and made him agree on some progressive views. I don't think Biden will ultimately commit to them but oh well
I mean the funny thing is if you believe candidates can't evolve then Joe has to basically go back to the... 90s? 80s?

I mean he was literally VP for 8 years ... I'm sure that wipes his record to some extent

This was not Bernie's best debate. Normally he does well in them but he was not on point here. He twisted himself into a pretzel over Castro and foreign policy things, and went on too long in some coronavirus topics to the point where I lost track of what he was saying. On the other hand he had some strong punches that really hit hard on Biden and had him on the ropes.

Biden was more consistent overall. Honestly, even if Bernie had a master performance tonight, I don't think it would have changed this Tuesday's outcome. Biden is going to win all four states with big leads (Illnois, Arizona, Ohio, Florida) and that should be the end of this primary.

You can't win 30% of the vote breh
Had more stayed in and he comes out of Super Tuesday with a lead the narrative shifts and he starts winning by bigger margins. I've never said Bernie was some perfect candidate. He's an insurgent in a party that's technically not his against a media that's not favorable to him. Some of his Ls here are his own but other's are dependent on other factors. You take those into account when running a campaign and hope that your strategy gets you thru. All that said he still has close to 40% of the party on his side.

The biggest mistake he made though was speaking on getting non voters out, never works. He should have tried harder especially in South Carolina to sure up regular voters with something. Which would probably have lessened the blow when Centrist Voltron formed. A lesson in the future for the next left candidate.

Thats what this was really about. Give biden a big platform to win some of bernie voters for the general. And if biden really fukked up then bernie would take it

They definitely made big improvements in regards to poverty, but I still don't think caping for the PRC is a good idea.

I was curious about China getting their ppl out of poverty and decided to look it up and it seems like smoke and mirrors. They took land from ppl in exchange for housing but that cut their income and their older citizens have no real social security. Plus they’re technically above poverty level but still struggling and the wealth gap is huge.
