Media got everything to do with it.

Thats the reason michal sam, tebow, manziel, kaep aint in the league. They bring media circus because of something they do or possess that has nothing to do with football.

The last day of draft coverage is such trash. These mfers are showing everything but the damn draft picks. nikkas can't even hear their name called on tv

Rich and Mayock are making good TV right now.

I don't always agree with Mayock but I appreciate he always scouts players simply as football players and doesn't take into account any feel good, race, religion, sexual preference factor that the media likes to hype up.

Whereas Rich was damn near throwing a hissy fit Shaquem was actually being drafted where he was supposed to go and not higher because he's a feel good story.

It made for great TV and the media and of course social media know it alls really got overhyped with Shaquem's story and felt as though it meant he should have been taken higher.

Made for good TV ultimately with Mayock challenging Rich's bias.

I hope Shaquem balls out. I was hoping he fell to the Saints in the 5th but I figured Seattle would nab him. Will be a great spot for him to succeed.

How is it bias? Dude is a 4.3 speed lb. if that was anyone else he wouldve gone no later than round 2.

Clowney a perfect example.

He got hyped because of one tackle in a bowl game. Came out and ran a 4.4 and that was it. 1st pick in the draft.

Shaq went 5th round because of the media circus, bet that.

I'm not gonna pretend I know enough of the prospects to say who deserves to go higher and who doesn't, but I bet there's plenty of prospects who you can argue deserved to go higher than they did. Not just Shaqueem.

It was just bordering on Michael Sam 2.0 when scouts legitimately had concerns about his transition to the pros but the media and social media was throwing a hissy fit he wasn't being taken early cuz he was gay.

But again, I hope Shaqueem balls out. But there was clear bias by a lot of people to take him early just cuz he's a feel good story.

Shaq got different obstacles to overcome than someone who sucks fecal matter off paynus
Shaq is a legit feel good story about a kid who has drive and can ball.
Not the same kind of circus as someone who's career was over before it even started and making out with his partner for a bullshyt agenda.
