It's a one year deal and you gotta look at the overrall picture. they needed a shooter. And Reddikk is a much improved defender. He doesnt suck. He gives you floor spacing, moves without the ball well and can do other things. It's not like they're signing Kyle Korver. Everyone knew JJ was gonna get paid. This is the market.

$23 million is way above market value for him. If he was offered a long term deal, that shyt would be closer to $12 million annually.

If you're someone with a relatively limited skill set as JJ, you take $23 million for one year in a fukking heartbeat.

It's easy to look like a good shooting guard with CP3 and Blake Griffin. He's not going to get those same looks, and his motivation to compete is basically gone now that's he's on a team with no expectations and a huge contract. I wouldn't have made this deal

They're good moves if you're playing 2K. A team full of young guys who can't shoot and haven't won since high school is not a recipe for success in the NBA. But it's selling tickets so thats what counts.
