The Suns were one of the few teams that got a meeting with Rich Paul (about Lebrons free agency) after the 2013-2014 season . I think it was just courtesy because Rich wanted to get Bledsoe paid that year.

Suns management will definitely use James Jones to target Lebron next year. The same way Earl Watson was used to recruit Lamarcus Aldridge. I doubt Lebron would join a lottery team in a historically tough western conference but it doesn't hurt to try and get him.
