fukking grilli and melancon blow a 4 run lead in the ninth to the god damn marlins. After the bullpen pitched really well last nite.

Haven't watched as much as I wanted to this year. Now that basketball is pretty much over ill start paying more attention.

fukking liriano sucks this year and is now hurt. Dude has been inconsistent his entire career. What could you expect?

half the pitching staff is hurt. Cole hurt. Volquez coming around at least.

Neil walker is hurt we traded for fukking Ike Davis.

about the only shining light mccutchen tearing the cover off the ball lately

super prospect polanco called up as well against the cubs. He's had a few hits. We need offense desperately. He needs to be good.

I don't understand why Tony Sanchez isn't up with the Pirates this season, instead of wasting a roster spot on Chris Stewart. If Sanchez is the "future catcher of the franchise" & Russell Martin is a FA after this year, then they should have him up learning from Russell everyday.

....and Justin Wilson has been a disaster this past week. Give him a rest, we have Watson/Hughes/Gomez all pitching well from the bullpen

I know ya may look at me crazy, but I would extend Pedro this winter. Sure he's not hitting for power, but he cut down on K's and has improved his walk rate this year. He's going to be a FA after the 2016 season, but he will have a huge year eventually(.330 OBP/30 HR's/.500 SLG) and you might as well buy out a couple of his FA years while his stock is down.

Unfortunately, I don't think Scott Boras will let this happen :sadcam:

You know exactly what you're getting with him, 25-30+ HR while batting around .230-.240. He's improved as a fielder, and that type of raw power isn't easy to obtain. He's just as important to their success as McCutchen. If they can't extend him, keep him til he hits FA in 2017 at age 30 & let someone else pay him. I'll never understand the hate that Pedro gets from some fans.

Will Sanchez learn more watching Wilson on a daily basis, or playing everyday in Indy? Hard to know for sure either way from the outside. I agree that Chris Stewart is absolute garbage tho.

If they don't trade Russ (please don't :sadbron:) they can call up Sanchez when the rosters expand and he can get that one-on-one mentoring experience then hopefully. This is one of the few Pirates mgmt decisions that I'm actually OK with.

he's not even 230-240 he's worse than that isn't he? I'll have to check the stats.

honestly I don't care if he leaves...he probably will...you know how cheap the owners are
