Youth Lagoon's first album is much different. Tough to say whether you would like if if you didn't like Wondrous Bughouse, it is much more lo fi and the vocals are heavily processed to the point that they are unintelligible. It is very touching though, I really loved it. It was one of my top 5 albums of 2011 (I think that was the year it was released).
Give that Wondrous Bughouse at least 3 listens in headphones before you give up on it. It is not an immediate album, it takes a bit to process and familiarize yourself with. Very few pop moments on it which was surprising to me.
But back on the subject of his first album, check out these 2 videos to see if you might like the album. The first video is just a good song from it. The second video is a must watch, one of the best music videos I have ever seen.
