i feel like the comedy mockumentary in a workplace is still a good setting for a show, there are plenty of workplaces to be done without rebooting the office tho.

there a 0% chance of recapturing the charm of the original US version in 2023

The Office was great. I still watch reruns all the time.

But it was a special moment in time. You’re not going to recapture that in a reboot. Even if you had the same writers and the same actors, they themselves are different since the show first aired.

I’m not interested in watching this new attempt.

They're not going to be able to do the same kind of jokes anymore. Imagine a tranny joke or something getting them canceled lol

I agree totally but a 10-13 episode run could be fun for the fans.

I guarantee this show is going to sit around in development hell for the next year or so, and if it somehow gets on streaming, it will be cancelled after a season or two.

It sounds like they're getting a new cast, which is a catch-22 because the whole point of a reboot, revival, or whatever is to bring back the old cast you love so much. Frasier could get away with it because the show is always supposed to be centered around him, but The Office is an ensemble show. You're not going to get lightning in a bottle twice.

By the way, isn't Greg Daniels already working on the King of the Hill reboot? How much time does he have for this shyt?
