Agreed. Joshua coming big makes him a bigger target as well and he's not known for his movement. Makes it much easier for him to get hit, but Klitschko is old and he's been in wars with lesser opponents.

he is very good at staying in range and he has to be because he must maintain this range to set up a big right hand. you take a step back, he takes a step in. you take a step in, he takes a step back.
this means you have to try to come way in or you have to try to stay way out, so he cant have access to a range where he can set up a big right hand on you. you never want to just hang out on the end of his jab. tyson fury stayed way out so he never got hung out on the end of his jab. he never got to hang fury out on the end of his jab, so he never got to pull the trigger on his right hand.
this worked for tyson fury but this may not work for anthony joshua. i think what you may see is each guy meet in the center of the ring. in the center of the ring joshua is going to try to wait and counter and every now and then come to rush in with some big punches.
and one more counter joshua throws is a check hook on a jab.
joshua has no seperation on these check hooks and when you throw a check hook on a jab and you dont create good seperation, with your feet and/or with your upper body, you can run into a right hand. that was how edison miranda knocked out david banks.
a check hook on a jab is a good counter. but a check hook on a jab and a right hand, makes you run into the right hand.
joshua is a good counter puncher but he is not going to be given a lot to counter. you cant just wait to counter or you are just going to wait forever. he is going to have to force his way in or the dead gaps he is going to create waiting to counter are going to be filled in by a very steady jab and he is going to give away really big chunks of rounds.
klitschko has a very steady jab and joshua doesnt have very good head movement.
and he cant eat big jabs or he is going to eat big right hands too.
in the center of the ring joshua cant go jab for jab and he is probably going to create some big dead gaps waiting to counter but when he comes to rush in with some big punches he can mend some of this disparity by punching in spurts and bursts. joshua cant take too many big breaks in between swinging big and missing big or the dead gaps he is creating are just going to get bigger and bigger and filled in with more and more jabs. i think joshua is going to have to force his way in over and over to get going and whats going to compound this is klitschko is not an easy guy to get to. he has a good step back and when joshua comes to rush in with some big punches you are going to see it.
maybe he needed to pull the trigger to beat fury but he doesnt really need to pull the trigger to beat joshua. he just has to get a good jab going to outwork joshua and a good step back to get away from big shots and repeat. i think he can do those things. but i think he can be hit with big shots too and that may be more true now than ever. but the window for this may not be very big. joshua has never went 12 rounds. there are a lot of x factors here for each of these guys. but i think jab and step back beats wait to counter and rush in with punches. because over the course of his career it always has.
