What do you guys have as the song/album of the year?

For me, I got Tame Impala "Lonerism" as album of the year

For song of the year there is no clear cut favorite for me this year like Midnight City was last year. If I was forced to choose I would say either Chromatics "Back From the Grave" or Death Grips "I've Seen Footage"

Album of the year: Tame Impala - Lonerism
I'm trying to make a top 10, but I don't think there are 10 albums released this year that I really like.

Song of the year: A tie between The Cribs - Glitters Like Gold and Tame Impala - Nothing That Has Happened So Far Has Been Anything We Could Control

Album of the year is a tough one for me.

I just go to the ones I listened to the most I suppose which was probably Chromatics or TOPS. I'd say Chromatics for good measure though I did like Wild Nothing as well and GKMC.

Song of the year no question "Sulk"

Album of the year would be the Chromatics if it wasn't bogged down with so much filler. the best ten tracks on that are killer tho. Best album is GKMC but as for alt I would have to go with

The Gathering - Disclosure

With Chromatics, Circa Survive, Bat For Lashes, and CC's putting out strong shyt

Best song is way to hard to pin down but I really liked Laura and Back from the Grave.

Looking back, Chromatics also gave me the most enjoyment alt wise this year.

Chaz da gawd continues to innovate

Its amazing how he shook the "chillwave" label and moved completely into a unique sound. I havent heard much from the other guys who were buzzing back then in a while...

Yeah, Neon Indian did the sophomore slump, Washed Out's album was underwhelming, Com Truise can only do remixes, Memory Tapes is alright.

Only Chaz da gawd moved forward.

That new Toro y Moi is + + + . Up there with 'Channel Orange' and the Kendrick record as albums that I've been blown away by on first listen.
