I never thought I would hear an ODB song in a commercial. It’s probably a lot more heads getting into these type of positions now so they can do something like this and provide some money to the family or give an opportunity to an MC. Plus we don’t get some guy who’s never listened to Hip Hop in his life writing “now my name is Steve and I’m here to say” ass rhymes for some actor to say in a commercial.

At least he got a posthumous banger on the Busta album

i think having it listed as a feature means ODB or his estate/family in this case gets more money but i was disappointed when it turned out to just be a sample and not an unreleased verse.

If you notice a lot of these commercial spaces like Walmart and target are using black music in their ads now.. and not just any black music but music that goes with the ad.. that tells me they are using black Ad agencies

that Walmart commercial used the Aretha Franklin cover of Marvin Gaye and Tammy Terrell’s your all I need to get by.. IMO the Aretha version is better

I hope his family is getting bread off this shyt. On another note, that Mary J Blige Target commercial comes on at least 50 times a day. I know she was having some money issues....hopefully she's getting paid too. A lot of these artists' deals are fukked up, so who knows what type of paper they see
