But really tho, we the question isn't whether or not Romney is a bullshytter (that's obvious) but rather who he's bullshytting.
Is he really a far right candidate that's just bullshytting to get moderate voters?
Is he really a moderate that's bullshytting to get far right voters?
Is he a guy that has no "real" positions that just bullshyts people whenever convenient?
I'm not even sure...
I think the bolded option is the most accurate.
If you look at his political career, he's proven that he'll take basically stance that's convenient at the moment. He's been a staunch defender of a womens' reproductive rights and an anti-abortion social conservative, a jingoistic neocon and a cautious, pragmatic foreign policy centrist, an unabashed pro-Wall Street corporatist and a populist who cares about the middle class, etc.
I think that could be good thing in some respects. Maybe if he were President, he would be better than most Republicans, which isn't saying much. Maybe he'd more pragmatic and managerial, and able to lead from the center and get things accomplished, like a Reagan somewhat.
But I don't know. After following this guy's words and positions for quite some time now, I still have no idea what a Mitt Romney presidency would look like. Obviously I'm pro-
, but I think people in the middle feel the same way and that's largely why he won't win. A lot of people don't trust him or feel comfortable electing someone who seemingly has no core whatsoever, stands for no principle other than his own will to power, and is totally unpredictable.
It seems his only allegiance is to his own ambition. He'll be whatever you want him to be if it aids him getting ahead. That quality is just detestable to people. All politicians are like that somewhat, it's the nature of the job. But he's probably the most extreme example of it...certainly that I've ever seen in my lifetime. Someone that vain can't truly have much empathy for anyone else imo.
^That is just repulsive to people.
