How popular is he though? The last time he ran for anything in Florida he lost to Marco Rubio and a lot of the reasoning for that was his mancrush on Obama. Plus he is no longer a republican but rather an independent who has already endorsed Obama.
I don't think Crist carries much cache politically anymore. Nobody likes a turncoat except for the side that said turncoat is endorsing.
