People(including Obama and his team) just don't understand the advantage that comes with being an underdog going into a fight. This was setup for Obama to lose. Even the people who know that Romney was lying out of his butt are praising his performance. It's because for the last month or so the narrative has been that Romney is a poor candidate who has no shot to win. The bar was set so low for him that he could simply step over it, now people want to act as if he did something special. Obama took some rounds off so to speak, but people are giving the bout to Romney just because he came out fighting and didn't get knocked out.

The problem is that even with all the Romney fukk-ups, this is still an incredibly close race - so why President Obama thinks he can go to a prevent defense at this point and let Romney drive down the field on him is just

Any nikka who has knowledge of what's going on knows that Obama destroyed Mitt when it comes to making sense. It's not even close. The problem is that making sense isn't enough to "win" a debate when 95% of the people watching at home know very little about politics. Since the majority of people aren't knowledgeable enough about politics to form opinions based on the arguments, they have to look at superficial things such as confidence to determine who's winning.

Mitt appeared to have more confidence than Obama last night which is why most people think he won the debate. Obama didn't look like himself. He stuttered and stumbled over his long sentences. Stuttering and stumbling are activities someone who's making up takes part in and people know this. Romney spoke clearly and kept it simple. Sure, the words that came out of Romney's mouth were full of shyt but like I said, most people are clueless about that.

It won't matter though. This debate won't change a thing.
