Yeah but it won't mean shyt if he doesn't define himself and convince people with a positive case for himself as opposed to just "Vote for me because the other guy sucks" which never works in presidential elections. Right now Obama is defining Romney to the people and that's a serious problem for him.

Yeh I'm just saying there are ebbs and flows to this election season. People who are saying "fatality" "checkmate" are being naive. Obama wouldn't use a checkmate strategy this early in the game. Plus, Romney will be unleashing his treasure chest (thank you citizen's united) soon and I'm sure people will overreact to that too.
I do like the fact that Obama is coming out aggressive. It's sort of taken away some light from the economic numbers.

The stimulus package was too weak. It should have been double the size. But that was when Obama was on that idealist "compromise" tip. It took him 2 years to get his nikka wake up call.

That's why liberals and just sane non-right-wingers who say they're not voting for Obama again drive me crazy. They're falling right into the hands of the RethugliKKKans master plan.
Obama came in believing RethugliKKKans would work with him because of his huge popularity and the existence of some semblance of patriotic responsibility to turn the economy around within them.
He didn't realize he was dealing with pure evil. They set out to purposely sabotage the economy and banked on the buck stopping with him according to voters. They plotted this shyt before he even accepted his oath of office. Thom Hartmann broke it down.
And it worked. People who have voted for him have been successfully disillusioned. They stayed home in 2010 now the Repubs control the House ensuring complete gridlock.
The plan is just muddy up the issues and confuse people and keep the economy bad and then say the President hasn't performed. People will buy it, or just blame everyone in Congress, ignoring that it's one party who has blocked or filibustered every single measure to get the economy on track, most of which have public support in polls, or just say Obama hasn't brought hope and change.
People aren't paying attention to the nuts and bolts and just see a bunch of politics fussing and fighting and nothing getting done. They think if they take a side, they're partisan or a sheep in lockstep in one party, and that disinclines them from seeing the big picture: that there is one party obstructing any effort whatsoever to do anything to fix the economy on purpose.
