The only real area of difference between Sanders/Corbyn is foreign policy. Corbyn is pretty good on anti-imperialism. Sanders has gone from being pretty good as mayor of Vermont(there's an interesting read on Bernie's strides to be an anti-Reagan voice while just a small city mayor), to bad as a congressman(as opposed to the horrendous that is most American politicians), to kinda ok as a candidate.

Economically there's some nuts and bolts stuff they probably formally disagree on but apparently what makes someone a far out leftist to Obama is an unwillingness to turn the third world into firing range.

I'm just gonna miss this man so much

Bernie is to the right of the NDP in Canada for sure. almost all his ideas are about catching up to the developed world.

Which NDP? He's less radical than some regional parties but his campaign wasn't nearly so tepid economically as Mulcair's.

I think what you mean to say is that it shouldn't be radical. But that's not the same as saying it isn't radical. Radicalism is a relative thing. For as long as I've been alive, Sanders's positions absolutely put him far to the left. If that's changing, good. We need new ideas.
Most polls showed people in favor of Bernie's positions. Just because he's one of the few politicians pushing his ideas, doesn't mean he's radical, even for the current times.

Which is true.

Our idea of extreme left is moderate to european politics.
This is what people don't understand. Bernie's "extreme left policies" are center left policies in Europe because they actually give a shyt about the general population overseas and not which corporations can line their pockets the fastest. Their governments actually work to try and better the lives of their constituents.

Thing is, Sanders is just representing what the American Left was saying for the decades after World War 2 until the early 1990s. He's a New Deal/Great Society politician. Which isn't radical at all.

The country has moved too far to the right in the last 30 years.
