Love this album to death. I'm gonna say something crazy, but still:

Switch this and Illmatic (Nas made this, O.C. made Illmatic), and which album is widely regarded as the GOAT? That's how good this album is IMO. Between this and Jewelz, O.C. doesn't get enough props.

If illmatic is 5 mics Word Life is like 4.95 its crazy how good it is outside of like one or two songs that are dope as hell but not classic

Not to bad mouth O.C but to me he summarises how hip hop has changed. To me no modern new rapper touching O.C and yet back then O.C wasn’t even in that elite tier.
