Dems are frustrating and yes, have taken the Black voter for granted and for a ride.
The moment they realized no sane Black person would vote for the openly fascist and repulsive GOP they felt they had all they needed, the automatic Black vote. So they stopped appealing to Black voters concerns.
The Republicans jobs plan for Blacks is to restart the southern plantations so they're not an option.

I thought the episode was really well done but I don't appreciate how out of all of the episodes of The Run Up THIS one went viral. It was a conversation for us by us (and should have been to us). I don't need white people listening to this shyt and making think pieces from it and thinking that they now understand black voters after a one hour podcast.

The part about some black men moving to the right because of the rise of LGBTQ in the Democratic party was key and spot on. But I learned that first by reading thecoli.com :banderas: New York Times ain't fukking with thecoli when it comes to black people's politics.

There's really nothing to discuss if there's no political will to resolve it. Black voter apathy will just get worse.

Because it’s a losing argument. A lot of times what we want is not what we can get. That’s maturity. Appealing to what people want to hear is not always responsible.
Constantly choosing the "pragmatic" option will sometimes back you into a corner when your only options are bad. Sometimes radical behavior and the sacrifice it requires IS the pragmatic option. Honestly there's a thin line between being a pragmatist and a coward, and if the "pragmatism" constantly sees you conceeding more than you're being given, well......

You know sometimes its OK to admit…the expectations of the voters are sometimes stupid and sometimes unrealistic and sometimes irrational

The episode had the most baseless reasons for critiquing democrats that weren’t based in understanding civics or even the history of political events surrounding shortcomings.

other critiques were just vague asks that are frankly impossible to address
