82% black in stone mountain,ga where i currently reside.
but whites are moving to inner city atl at a fast rate

some of these maps make me wonder if segregation is still alive. there are very well defined lines between different ethnicities.

Looks at Detroit...Just the way I remembered it. 
most will still live around what they are familiar with. Many people can't believe I am Hispanic and live here on my own with no family around.
Its largely socioeconomic, I think. All money is green, and for the most part that is the defining factor in where people choose to live.

Kids living in poverty jumps when you cross it
Unemployment jumps when you cross it
If you painted it as, the poor people live in one part of a town, the rich live in another, I don't think it would seem as crazy

Not close to segregation of the earlier times but because of the income gap between certain ethicities. You don't see poor whites with income wealthy whites vice versa.
