This is why black people shouldn't be in charge of anything.

If any one of u were in Clef's position you probably would have spent the majority of the charity money on jordans and cellphones

You're a fukking idiot :wtf: :smh:

I want to reserve judgement on this but clearly Wyclef had bad judgement in terms of the middlemen he used to run this charity, I hope he comes out of it ok, but it saddens me greatly especially since my company paid for a vacation for Wyclef, during the earthquake crisis.

Corruption is endemic around the world and all races take part in. Black folks don't have a monopoly on corruption.

I knew not to trust that snake ass Wyclef. That's why I donated to the Red Cross during the earthquake. I don't want to hear anymore "conscious" song lyrics from that clown ever again.

Didn't @Hiphoplives4eva have a sig on :hamster: telling people to donate to Yele?

what an astonishing waste of money donated for a good cause and denied to its legit recipients

too many people think they can just swoop in and do NGO/non-profit work when it's a tough skillset. never trust someone who hasn't come up (or been involved) in that world to know what they're doing

Did your company do it for free, or did you take away money to help starving Haitian babies for marketing and promotions.

:manny:

No we did it for free, we never exchanged money, I essentially used my time and resources to promote the charity at the street/club level. I thought it was a good cause, at the time. It was a mistake ultimately but hindsight is 20/20. It was a bad use of my time and resources but if it did an iota of good, I'm ok with that. It's really easy to shyt on someone after the fact.
