This is why the they CHOOSE to over-police poor, urban communities. This is where you can find the densest population of the poorest, most powerless people to target.
People wonder why these communities are at a boiling point. Maybe it’s because this has been going on for decades with catastrophic effects to these communities. Worse, maybe it’s because they know DAMN WELL that the powers that be not only know all of this, but condone if not specifically instruct such behavior, often as the business model for their primary source of revenue.
And this is why the people in these communities justifiably feel like you can take your “99% of cops are good” bullshyt and shove it right up your ass. It’s not about individual cops, it’s about the whole fukking tyrannical system.

They do... But they don't get arrested... Therefore they don't have a record.... So they don't add to the crime stats.... making the data skewed in one direction
