Judge most likely hasn’t chosen yet because he’s looking at the legacy aspect of being with the Yanks. Like the bonus incentives (breaking records, captain, etc.).

He still leaving though so whatever.

Na forreal, we gotta see the Yankees’ Profit & Loss statements because Hal being THIS “fiscally responsible” is just weird at this point. Am I wrong?

How are the Yankees not printing money from all corners of the corporation on and off the field? Where are the holes at the company? Hal got a gambling problem? Did George have a ton of debt on the low that fell on his sons?

Won’t be shocked if Heyman isn’t wrong on the report, just that it’s still “early”. Giants, Judge’s camp and the Yankees all have to prep the rollout and fallout properly. So whatever.

:salute:

The worst thing they can do now is try to overcompensate and sign someone else who they don’t even want just so they can tell fans they got them a shiny new toy. I’m not sure this team really has a well planned, thought out plan B though.

Kids who get handed teams by their parents are idiots, we’ve seen it with Jim Dolan, Jeff Wilpon, John Mara, etc.

Honestly, the lore of playing with the Yankees is gone. Stars down want to play in New York or live in the tri-state area. Ohtani flat out refused to even consider New York. Couple that with the Yankees not winning since 2009, and Steinbrenner passing away… it’s just not the same.

Don't Believe the Hype
Do we really want the Yanks to spend $40M on Judge and $32M on Stanton while they're both on the wrong side of 30 with history of missing games. It's only going to get worse. They're both big guys (pause).

If/when Judge dips, Yanks should consider moving Stanton, too. Pickup some of the salary - $12M, say - and let's figure this sh*t out. Even with an amazing season from Aaron, we barely made it past Cleveland and got sonned by HOU. What the NYY are doing isn't working.

This could be a great opportunity to reset.

PS - may have been said already, but SF opens the season in the Bronx next year. That's gonna be wild.

If Hal isn't going to spend 300M plus yearly on payroll, then its better Judge leaves for the long term success of this franchise.

Stanton has a full NTC. It's not worth discussing with him.
