This lineup is shocking whenever I take a step back. I'm having a drink in memory of a friend who passed and listening to music... loked up at the game and it really hit me that a dude who a couple months ago never had an AB in the majors is at the plate in the 9th with a sub-.600 OPS. At once point tonight Donaldson made an out and the Brewers announcers were like "a big bat in the lineup retired." This is the worst year of his career! This smooth-faced racist cocksucker has like 15 homers and 52 RBI! How can a team with this much money field this shytty a lineup??? How was every deadline deal a quiet fart? Why doesn't the lineup ever make any sense? At this point I watch this team for Oaf GAWD's ABs and that's that.

I don't see a deep playoff run with this lineup. It's Judge and a bunch of bums.

Judge doesn’t hit, this team doesn’t win lol. I know someone will but if someone votes for Ohtani rather than Judge, that person deserves to have their voting rights revoked.

Can someone explain to me why we didn't get Luis Castillo??
The Mariners included Noelvi Marte (Shortstop prospect) in the deal.
Marte is a top 20 minor league prospect.

Cincinnati probably wanted something centered around Anthony Volpe -- also a shortstop prospect and the Yankees likely balked. Volpe is currently a top 5-10 minor league prospect depending on which list you look at.

In contrast, the Yankees got Frankie Montas for no one particularly good. He went for Cooper Bowman, Luis Medina, JP Sears and Ken Waldichuk. Probably the highest upside guy there is Medina if Oakland can get him to stop walking batters. Doubtful though.

There's 2 reasons why a lot of fans don't care for Volpe otherwise

1. we just assume every prospect will fail (and if you believe that, we'll never win a title again)

2. We've seen all these "contingency" plans for what we'd do if we traded Volpe or Peraza, mostly involving signing Correa.

The fact of the matter is, the Yankees NEED guys like Volpe, Peraza and Dominguez to succeed.

But he has noticed how Gallo has had some improved results after being traded to the Dodgers following his disastrous stint with the Yankees.

“Joey started to play better with the Dodgers and I saw on [a] podcast that [Los Angeles manager] Dave Roberts played a big part of that, with him wanting to get the most out of his players,’’ Hicks said.

“As of right now, I feel the more I play, the better I’m gonna play. That’s not what’s going on right now. Things are tough in New York. I don’t have an answer. If they feel this isn’t the right fit for me, that’s their call. If I do go to another team, I know I can help them win.”

Gallo is reverting back to his old Yankee self out there in LA now. :skip:

Like he’s only batting 11 points higher.

So that’s such a disingenuous quote.

I said Hicks was trash a long time ago and hated that deal Cashman got him. And now he's on that Gallo ego it's not my fault shyt. :camby:I'm tired of looking at his ugly ass swing.

Hicks got a lot of nerve

Too many crybaby pussies on this roster. From Maga Josh whining about his teammates not defending his dumbass, to Gallo, now Hicks. The lack of self awareness on this roster is embarrassing

Can’t believe I’m saying this, this team lost its accountability and their edge when Girardi left.
