Not that I mind Cabrera getting a shot but why take Trevino out?!!?

If anything put Cabrera in for Gleyber
Trevino’s had some big hits for this team, taking him out is stupid as fukk and I’m not saying that because of the result.

the Yankees treat singles in the gap like underhanded free throws: they work, but they might think they're p*ssy for trying it.

The approach they have with RISP is disgraceful. They piss on their own analytic data when they fail to bring runners in. That's not luck. That's skill. There's something to be said for not gripping the bat until it's ash and shriveling up when runners are on base.

I just want the Yankees (and the fanbase) to keep the same energy with Gleyber that they had with Gary. We were willing to let Kyle Higashioka and his .140 average be the strong side of the platoon just because we were sick of seeing Gary every day. Aaron Hicks gets booed on the road (he sucks too, but at least I feel like his problems stem from trying way too hard). When is Gleyber gonna get the Gallo treatment? When is it ok to play him once every 4th or 5th day? When are the excuses gonna stop with him? We ask a fukking giraffe in Aaron Judge to play center field in his walk year even if's not recommended for him long term physically and he does it with a smile on his face and now might grab his bag and whatever other bags the new core four pissed away. Even if you gift wrapped Gleyber to Miami the way we gift wrapped Gumby to St. Louis (Bader is gonna be trash and nobody is gonna talk me out of that), Gleyber couldn't possibly do anything in Miami that would make us regret letting him go. We'd be too busy playing DJ every day to give a fukk. At least there'd be some continuity.

He’s gonna be 32 with six years left. And we know Hal ain’t eating money

We’re stuck with him
He eating that money regardless.

Long story short, if the Yankees don't keep Judge, fine. But then there's no replacement that would soothe things for the fanbase. For example, the Yankees can't let Judge walk but then say, "but we got deGrom!" The Yankees can't dig up Conforto. The Yankees can't trade for Max Kepler and tell us how the data indicates that we're elite with the unlucky players. The Yankees are gonna have to eat Hicks' deal simply because if he came back next year, he's gonna feel like Gallo in these streets

and another thing in this 9th inning.

Why in the fukk would they pinch hit for Trevino? If anything Trevino might be the most comfortable Yankee in a situation like that. But they wanna play matchups? He's a closer. A young one. Trevino knows how to choke up and protect the plate. Boone picks the worst times to give his guys a boost.

This is embarrassing

5 years, they haven’t signed a big name position player. Haven’t developed anyone from the system. Haven’t traded for a another star(Stanton was gift wrapped to them. And even then, they almost blew that one)

I wish Judge would give the FO an ultimatum about putting the best team on the field. But we know he won’t.

Might as well have Boone sit there and play a recording

“Well we lost because we didnt score. Yeah when we lose we just need to win. We need to play better.”
