The trains in nyc are not uniform to have barriers. Until the r46 and r68 train cars retire then the barriers are pointless unless they put them on the number lines.

And even with that some of the number lines have curvy stops which also make it hard to add barriers.

It’s amazing how many New Yorkers don’t actually know much about their own subway system but will complain non stop

lol. Breh the trains in nyc have different measurements.

Realistically only the number trains and L train can have the barriers.

MTA would have to order 100% new trains with the same dimensions

The G train might get long again because it runs through a lot of growing gentrifying areas and is getting crowded.

If queenslink gets approved (MTA acting like fakkits about this project) the G would go back to forest hills and would 100% get its full 10 car length back
