both of my parents are teachers

i just dont feel as strongly about giving them pensions, as those people who are risking their lives. do they deserve a little something? sure. but i dont think the incentive to be a good teacher is there once you have tenure, and the pay scale goes up enormously once you're at the end of your career. so im on the fence

i would rather pay teachers more when they start out, and not be on the hook for paying them thousands for the rest of their life
