again i'm talking about the casual viewers of television not the diehard fans like us

the casual viewers may tune in for 10 seconds, see that there's no crowd then immediately change the channel and the ratings will reflect that

Not so sure that’s the case. The UFC’s final show before they suspended events was in an empty arena in Brazil and the ratings were on par with the weeks before.

Who really knows for sure, but think it has more to do with everyone locked in their houses and browsing more popular outlets like Netflix, Prime, etc.

Even with crowds the ratings weren't shyt. The joke is people thinking that 2 shows that can't even get over a million viewers is actually considered a war.

the Raw and SD numbers are down too which proves my point of lack of crowds being the cause of the ratings decline, not sure how what you saying has anything to do with what i'm saying

Smackdown averages 2.4mil a week and last week it was 2.3 so it wasn't really that much of a drop off. I agree that wrestling needs fans because they add a lot, but let's not act like AEW & NXT were tearing the house down before the coronavirus.
