Then they all sold it extremely well, because Balor seemed surprised, the ref was over there immediately to check on him and right after the two locked in immediately probably talking about how to continue the match.

And if it was kayfabe, that would look terrible on Kendrick. It's one thing to fake a concussion hitting your head on the ramp after a dangerous spot like a bad-ass (Sami Zayn), and another to twist your ankle looking like a bytch jumping over the ropes.

He was barely favoring it during the rest of the match, which made me think it wasn't a real injury. Just something made up for the match for Kendrick to get the upper hand. Heel tactic.
