She was on Level up as a backstage interviewer and ring announcer for a while. The moved up to NXT when McKenzie Mitchell got fired.

Most likely. They had her in the ring a few times, even at a PLE during the Kick-off. It seemed like she wasn't progressing. Plus she has a history of knee problems. Not everyone is cut out for the ring. This is a better role for her.
