I'm really confused, but at some point NXT became home to the best hoss division in WWE/NA wrestling and I know it was a slow transition and maybe helped because the smaller guys either ended up injured or called up, but... yo. If they just made the North American title division literally just the hoss division, I could definitely rock with it. Especially if it means Ciampa can cook with the main title while Priest, Dijak, Lee and Reed put in work over the red belt. Even be cool with Grimes running in that grouping.

Man... I know it's pointless to ruminate on it, but Jeff Cobb in that division would be flames.

2020 needs Jeff Cobb back on national TV, NXT or AEW, don't care. Saw cuh on Final Battle - dude got himself into better shape and he strong as hell. His matches in PWG and shyt with Keith way back when were good, too.

I'm glad he listened to the criticism, he really disappointed at the G1.

Should’ve been Kay Lee Ray taking that pin, not Bianca
If they're going with the slow burn then I'm guessing that pin will be referenced in their feud down the road. One thing that was very obvious last night was that no woman on that roster is touching Bianca on the mic.

Alex Shelley in NXT :gladbron:, dude used to be one of my favorites in the ROH/TNA days. Didn't know he was still wrestling.

Chelsea Green :leon:. NXT has an abundance of women talent. Curious to see who ends up winning that battle royal to face Ripley.

Old school wrestling heads, was Dusty Rhodes known as a big tag-team wrestler back in the day?

Before he became the American Dream, he and dikk Murdoch were in a successful tag team (The Texas Outlaws, hence the New Age Outlaws name), but the Dusty Classic is more of a Crockett Cup (Dusty's idea) play but it doesn't make sense for WWE to run a tag tournament dedicated to Jim Crockett Sr. 45 years after he died. Or at all, really. It really started as part of HHH's love of doing modern JCP booking.

Also I think it tied into his part in NXT; a lot of the tag team guys from when Dusty was still alive always talk about how integral he was into what they did, or talk a lot about how he impacted them specifically. Plus, a lot of the Dusty ideas from the ages have been big matches generally involving tag teams, I guess? It's weird, but in a way, Dusty's legacy is multi-man matches and... well. fukkery.

I'm saying the Dusty Rhodes legacy - not counting his children in AEW - will probably live on as 'fukkery'. From War Games and the other specialty matches he made/had a hand in, on through to the Dusty finish, and the legendary (fight me) bicycle call. Maybe it's Maffew's fault, but 'he's got a bicycle' is #2 on my Dusty quotes after Hard Times, 100% of the time.
