It was all about the movement and not Shane my guy. From what I've been reading the Ain't Nobody joint was the aesthetic that inspired the use of the gif.
In all seriousness though, i don't think people understand that for an indy wrestler, it's probably a huge relief not to wonder where your next check is coming from for a few years. And you can get that one big contract then dip.
Yeah, I think a side effect of wrestling being so accessible now is that it's really easy to overlook just how much of a grind it is to be an independent wrestler. You've gotta make shows all over the place that might not be convenient to get to, make all that shyt work financially, and take care of your health solo. Signing a WWE deal is worth it just for the downside guarantee for a lot of these wrestlers. shyt, signing a contract that guarantees you a solid amount of money as long as you're at least available to do replacement level work is an attractive deal for just about anybody.
