Talk to me about this rebuilding?

IF Kawhi doesnt re-up you still have a great bench with some great pieces and Lowry, why do you have to rebuild ?

You will have cap money to use why not go out and try to land another piece like a Jimmy Butler and try again next year ?

Then after 2020 when Lowrys contract is up you will have another max slot to offer someone and you could bring in another piece to put beside Jimmy and hopefully by that time OG and Siakam has evolved into bonafied front line players.

I do not understand this talk of rebuilding because of Kawhi...I fully believe Masai has a plan B next summer just in case...This is why i laugh off when ppl say hes leaving hes leaving cuz i honestly dont give a fukk our real MVP is Ujiri...and being able to land Kawhi to get us to the finals gives us credit around the league...

Kawhi is great but i think we can still be great without him...

Damn dude their is a lot to get too.

If Kawhi leaves it is time to rebuild. We are in the best run of Raps ball in the history of this org. And shyt, it's been a good run. But if Kawhi bounces it is time to rebuild. Just like if we kept Derozen one more year and not made the ship it would be time to move on.

Lets go through your post.

Your not winning a chip with no Kawhi next year. This is the NBA, your not wining a chip without a top 5 player. Sure we can try to sign someone but if it is not Durant(and that is not happening) then Why treadmill?

Like above, if it is not Durant then it does not matter. Jimmy Butler, he is not a top 5 player. Your not winning a chip without a top 5 player. And FOH with the Pistons. That is an exception to the rule.

A max slot for who? Some dude who will be overrated or Giannis? B/c giannis is the only guy who is worth waiting on.

Bruh, Masai's plan B is likely rebuilding or bouncing.

@Miggs you one of the best Raps BBall posters, but come on man. This is our all in year. If it does not work out we rebuild. And if we're going to rebuild keeping Pascal and OG are good cornerstone for that..

Masai doesn't seem like the type to stick around for a rebuild, and it'll be hard to sell the fanbase on a team without a legit superstar after this year.

The current story arc of this franchise started in 2013 and will end in a year or two.

Might as well tear it down to the studs, or we be a meddling team.

Masai isn't going anywhere unless he's fired

I agree were all in right now but i disagree it will get torn down if Kawhi walks....Masai gave Derozan and Lowry 5-6 years and he should have torn that down after the 14-15 season and didnt....Hes not gonna tear it down and rebuild as long as he has money to spend....

He may not use a max slot on a max player but he will definitely spend that money somewhere,we may not be as good next year or the year after as THIS year but we will still be a playoff team similar to what we were before Kawhi got here....I just dont believe Masai is going to rebuild,he will add pieces to whatever is here next year to stay in the top 4-5...

IM not as gloomy as some of yall are if Kawhi is gone,i dont think we have to be bad...especially if Siakam and Anunoby or only one emerges next year.

Heres the thing were mostly all in this year but were not really cuz we wont go after Jimmy, that tells me that Masai is somewhat cognizant of next summer and that he doesnt want to just go for it in one year and have bare cupboards....HE wants to retain these young guys so he can re tool next year if need be...

If we was going all out right now we'd give up one of them for Butler...to me that would signify hes going for a title now and is forgoing the next 2-3 years...
