Nurse is not a good coach bro. In theory he knows what he’s doing but execution is poor, effort is inconsistent, he can’t find good combinations, tries to force strategies that aren’t working, can’t stop a run, etc etc.

I didn't even know Ibaka got kicked out for fighting. These dummies got pumped by the Cavs and had a nervous breakdown.
I don't know if it's just about the coach.
Nurse's overall philosophy seems to emphasize loose, free flowing movement that's based off certain triggers the defense allows. Apparently he's keen on the players feeling out the flow of the offense on their own and to not worry about the specifics. But I don't think Kawhi benefits from a liberal coach like Nurse, at least not yet. Hence the reason the team's offense looks so different when Kawhi plays vs. when he doesn't.
Kawhi isn't a playmaker so the ball stops when he gets it. He's just so efficient at scoring that it doesn't matter yet. To Nurse's credit, his ATO plays are very creative and experimental, which was the opposite of Casey.

It's games like last night where I wish we had someone like Thibodeau. That dude would run Kawhi into the fukking floor in games he actually plays. Would make him pay the price for all this management-of-loads.

Gasol has been flaming trash outside of 2 games but were still not using him properly...We have to run plays for him in the post as a scorer.
IF anything Kawhi should have sat the 4th quarter because he wasnt trying defensively,he kekpt letting his man get by him with no resistance,the last straw was that play where Osman beat him down the floor for an uncontested layup off one of his missed jumpers...Pop woulds have yelled at him over that....
