I'm sure it will change post all star break but I didnt like at all how Nurse was using Gasol tonight....I dont mind him coming off the bench for a few games but hes got to touch the ball in the high post to be effective...does Nurse watch tape.

We were running him off screen rolls to me that's not utilizing his greatest asset which is his playmaking...

Nurse has been underwhelming this season, especially in the clutch. The issue with Gasol is that by giving him the ball in the post it slightly slows down the offense. I think that will be a better option in the playoffs when the pace slows down.

@trick You copping that Lin jersey :skip:? He was great last night and he seems like a very down to earth, good dude off the court.

Cant say I ever expected Siakam to be this good :jbhmm:

Definitely not. I'm cheap as hell breh

The jump that Siakam made in year 3 is unreal. I can see why Masai wants to hold onto OG if he thinks he'll make that leap in year 3 or 4. Low key the coaching staff here have been great at developing role players. If they can develop another guy who can impact the game like Siakam has, that would be incredible.

Have you guys watched the Grizzlies recently? Even Bruno looks like a decent player, looks like they should've played him at the 5 instead of the 3/4. Stack was playing him at the 5 when they won the D-League championship, he basically won the finals for them and for some reason, they had him playing the 3 again last year (remember Casey tried playing Bruno at the 3 during the preseason last year:francis:). He is still not good on the offensive end, but he alters so many shots and his wingspan really bothers people.

Over the past 20 games, Siakam has averaged 18.6 points on 13.5 shot attempts. In the past 10, it’s up to 21.5 points on 15.7 attempts, including 3.6 3-point tries per night, which he’s knocking down at a 41.7 percent clip. Siakam has taken on a larger offensive role as the season has progressed; over the past five games, he has finished 26.9 percent of Toronto’s possessions with a shot attempt, foul drawn, or turnover, a usage rate that would slot him in between Karl-Anthony Towns and LaMarcus Aldridge over the course of the full season. He has also continued to score efficiently with a heavier workload, posting a 59.2 true shooting percentage. That’s not easy to do: The list of players this season with usage rates north of 26 percent and true shooting percentages higher than 59 percent mirrors the rosters we’ll be watching in Sunday’s All-Star Game. (Well, them and Julius Randle.)
