I thought Nurse struggled tonight and was slow on the trigger making changes...Should have went zone or went bigger on DLo much earlier in the game...Eventually in the 4th he went big on him but for that entire 3rd he was abusing Lowry off the dribble over and over...The time is now to start hiding Lowry off the ball esp against anyof the top PGs who can get to the basket...you cant leave that up to Kyle anymore...
Funny you mention the zone cuz when we tried it in the second quarter the Nets got three straight buckets against us and we didn’t see the zone again.

The flaw I saw with the D on Russell was that we overcompensated for his strong left hand and gave him the lane going right way too easy. Truthfully, our secondary help down low is really bad. Not just this game, but in general. Once Ibaka or Gasol comes over for help nobody picks up the big man. It’s frustrating as hell.

I thought Nurse did well in the second half though. You can argue that he should have left Gasol in but gotta slowly transition Gasol into Ibaka’s starter role. I don’t think Ibaka will be the starter by end of the season if I’m being honest. As far as Nurse goes, I found that putting OG on the primary ballhandler changed a lot for our D. Leaving McCaw on for as long as he did was a good decision too.

I think I prefer McCaw to Vanvleet. He’s a smarter player and obviously a superior defender. I just wish he had a jumper.

With Gasol and Lin youll have more offense out there you can have McCaw out there for defense instead of Fred, not as dependant on his offense now with the new additions...I think Gasol will open up his offense,it will give him lanes to slash to the bucket off the dribble...

Word word. I can’t wait to see how the team develops now that we finally have a playmaker.

To be fair he was playing well last season. He was closing out our games.

We bet on him, but it's not panning out this season.

Fred not gonna have the ball as much with Lin around. Limited to spot up 3’s and D, he can still be valuable.
That's okay, breh can barely get by anyone. Spot up corner 3s should do for him.
