It's going to take some time for them, they've never had a playmaking big so they're going to have to unlearn all the tendencies they've developed so far and start playing off ball, that and making making their open looks too.

They're so used to JV plodding to the rim and having to tell him where to be. I bet they'll have to sightly adjust their spacing to maximize his effectiveness.

You can see the difference between him and JV defensively...its night and day.Thing is hes probably no quicker than Val is on foot hes just alot smarter...You remember that play where he broke up Knox's drive to the basket getting between him and the goal and then stealing it and tossing it back in bounds....You'd never see Jonas make a play like that defensively...

Gasol highlights how badly this team has lacked a playmaker in the Lowry era. Lowry, who is a pretty mediocre passer imo (good ideas but his accuracy isn’t great) has been our best playmaker over the years...which says A LOT.
