that's not morey. that's ownership. they're fukked with the tax and the cheap owner didn't want to pay even more. that's the reason why they let ariza go too.
morey is a great gm
True but a part of it was Morey’s arrogance. He let LMAM walk when they could have brought him back for the minimum, instead he opted to sign MCW and Melo.
CP3 getting hurt last year fukked us and created a domino effect. It was a wink wink deal that we'd "figure out" what to do with him at the end of last season... but with no championship to show for it yet Paul expecting a max deal in good faith after looking like the key to beating GS, morey had to bite the bullet or else he'd of been ran out of town if he lost CP3 with no replacement. But then Capela was also up for a big contract and demanded near max money. So 3 big contracts for 1 superstar, 1 hobbled point guard, and 1 very good but not great big who is limited offensively... plus a midsized contract for an undersized two guard who can shoot but barely dribble or pass (Eric Gordon).
If CP3 was in his prime, or simply not hobbled, then that 4-man core would be more tolerable but that's simply not the case. LMAM hasn't played since Oct, his knee is fukked, so that was whatever. But Ennis, MCW, Melo, Knight, pretty much everyone other than Austin Rivers and House Jr has been a miss... and we just lost House Jr.
It's why i say yall remind me of how we were last year, back when we had star players and depth. Nor should yall (or the organization) take it for granted bc we went from destiny/the stars aligning to.. whatever the fukk happened to us tonight..
