@The ADD is there anyway to reduce or prevent loose skin around the stomach when losing weight?

I had a friend (female) lose a good amount and she ended up having this problem

I'm lifting weights too obviously, but anything else?

I haven't read anything that gives concrete advice. A lot of it depends on how much fat you had in the first place.

I tends to even out over time

Good heavy lifting will help

"Slower" rate of loss will also help

Core strengthening of course

Congratz...... on the recent weight loss...don't want to take anything away from you, but try and attribute about 40% of your losses towards water weigh in the first two weeks...so the scale might fluctuate alittle down the line but don't be discouraged!

As for the concern regarding excess skin... trying & slow you rrole with the weight loss i.e what @The ADD suggested. In order to avoid excess skin scenario you need to drop weight at a uniform linear pace i.e try and aim for about 1-2 lbs per week as opposed to doing 5lbs per week. A slower rate of weight loss aids the theory that the 'actual mass loss' you are experiencing will tend to be strictly FATTY tissue as opposed to also losing in LBM as well (Lean body moss = muscle)...which ideally is what you want to preserve/ hold onto as much as possible during a deficit calorie diet.

Truthfully I wouldn't drop down to 1800 yet, simply because once you hit a plateau you will find it harder to break since your intake is already so low and your exercise levels are so high

You are probably going to drop weight like a madman until you get down to 170 or so, then are going to hit a small plateau. Once you break that, you will probably hit another plateau at around 160 and with your calories already at such a low level, you won't really want to drop much lower and might find it hard to drop below 13-14% BF

I guess you never posted your goals though, so maybe that would be good enough for you. But if you have dreams of hitting 10% BF, I would bump up your calories to at least 2000 and drop lower later once you plateau

Otherwise, good job kicking into gear so quickly. It is a sad day when you finally look in the mirror and realize you have been lying to yourself for a while and are :flabbynsick:
