This aint a michael bay movie bruh..explosives kill mainly using percussive shock waves..they cause massive internal damage and dont leave too many exterior signs..the blood on his face is probably from his last breath as his lungs were imploded by the shock wave.

Most die by concussion or being caught in the falling debris, from some type of blunt force impact from hitting the wall etc. I'd like them to explain the location in which they chose to detonate it relative to where he was.

If you look at guys who work on the bomb team one has an outfit that protects you mostly from shrapnel and debris or being knocked back, but how much of it really is about protecting your organs from the shock wave itself?
