they NEED to have internet on their next console.

they have the hits for the kids.. Mario, Mario Kart, Zelda.. they need to ride that wave with online and maybe even pull a PC model and add micro transactions to these games that parents can buy for their kids ($2.99 Mario outfit is blue and red instead of red and blue, Yoshi is blue instead of green, etc.)

DOTA makes hundreds of millions a year literally selling skins for $1-5 a piece..

Except it's archaic in the sense that it doesn't really do anything on par as even last gen consoles. No headset, no real in game chat or system level OS chat, no real in game notification system nothing. Just a console that literally plays games(albeit some really good ones.)
They kind of got something like that with Amiibos which are suprisingly selling really good.

With that logic, there's 12 million Xbox Ones out there and yet ain't no Xbox One exclusive selling more than Mario. Hell, there's 80 Million 360's sold yet only 14 million bought Halo 3. Only about 6 million bought Gears of War 3...
